Globalization is a mega-trend for trade shows and conferences. International companies recognize trade shows and conferences are one of the most effective ways to enter the largest consumer market in the world - the United States. International markets are a key driver for growing mature trade shows and conferences!

Midwestern Chapter - Education Committee has made a strategic commitment to present more “planner centric” programming, as an effort to continue growing membership and attendance.  We are planning Monday, October 30, 2017 for an educational program hosted by the newly debuted Marriott Marquis McCormick Place.  The developing program is listed below.  We are inviting industry thought leaders to gain a cross section of talent and professional roles to best explore this topic.

Attracting International Attendees and Foreign Exhibitors to U.S. Conferences and Trade Shows

Trade show organizers and conference planners often share the desire to compete for attention in the global arena.  Our panel of experts will discuss strategies for improving international performance and business goals.

The following will be highlights of this valuable exchange of information:

-Role of Government Offices, Consulates, Trade Missions
-Building an International Sales Force
-The Power of Pavilions
-Leveraging Partner Associations
-Understanding Exhibitors Global Outlook
-Marketing to Attendees Worldwide

How Big Is Your Pipe?

Educational Program and Member Mixer - Attend and earn 1.5 CEM credits

Donald E. Stephens Convention Center

About the Program:

We know we need it, but do we know what “it” is?

We’re talking about the internet and navigating the terms you hear, but may not fully understand.

V-Lan?

2Gig redundant?

How do personal hotspots and 3G/4G technology affect your decision?

Are you paying too much by not asking the right questions for your group?

This insightful panel will discuss the ins and outs and latest updates in a constantly changing environment.  Whether you’re looking at an in-house meeting at a hotel for 300 people or an event at a convention center for thousands, we’ll help you understand what you need so you can budget correctly and get the best service for your event participants.

It’s crucial to know the format of the delivery and we’ll tell you why, as well as define commonly used terms and send you off with a quick reference guide to take back to the office and share.

Culture is a feeling, a vibe, an extension of your brand

The best way for organizations to produce a meaningful culture is to establish a community in which stakeholders partner to play a role in its strategic direction. It’s the competitive edge that creates trust and inclusion within a group.
